univie: summer school "Basic Aerosol Science" 2019

From 30 June until 6 July 2019, the 7th Summer School "Basic Aerosol Science" is taking place at the University of Vienna. The summer school offers a broad education in basic principles and techniques of aerosol science. The main focus is aerosol physics, but other fields such as aerosol chemistry and applications of aerosol science for e.g. issues of human health are also covered.

 

36 participants from universities, research institutions and industry from 18 countries including Albania, Canada, Denmark, Germany, India, Israel, Italy, Netherlands, Russia, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, USA, UK, and Austria will attend lectures, discuss science and participate in a 1-day field experiment. The 18 teachers of the summer school are leading European experts in the field of aerosol science.

 

The univie: summer school "Basic Aerosol Science" is organized every two years by the Aerosol Physics and Environmental Physics Group at the University of Vienna.

 

The summer school is supported by the University of Vienna, the Austrian Academy of Sciences ÖAW, the Gesellschaft für Aerosolforschung GAeF, and the companies Grimm Aerosol Technik, TSI Inc., and Droplet Measurement Technologies.
