Currently, the LHC experiments observe a slight tension between data and Standard Model predictions for top-quark pair production in association with a W boson. I will discuss the recent advances in the modelling of fiducial signatures and discuss the need for higher-order corrections at NNLO accuracy. Furthermore, I will highlight that the same techniques for the computation ofmulti-loop scattering amplitudes can be employed to extract the gravitational potential of black hole inspirals.
