As our Earth moves through space, it encounters cosmic particles originating from within our Solar System and from the surrounding interstellar medium. Their discovery on Earth's surface can hint to past cosmic events such as asteroid break-ups producing interplanetary dust particles or nearby stellar explosions producing interstellar dust. The measurement of cosmic dust derived radionuclides with AMS from samples collected on Earth provides the opportunity to reconstruct the recent history of our Solar System and beyond. I will present my current and future research on cosmic traces on Earth, which includes answering geological, cosmochemical, and astrophysical questions through the use of AMS.

Im Rahmen des Vortrages findet eine Lehrprobe zum Thema
„Accelerators for Nuclear Physics“ statt.
