In this talk I will discuss the geometry underlying non-relativistic string theory. Furthermore, I will show how its low energy effective action can be obtained by taking a special non-relativistic limit of the relativistic string effective action. Next, I will discuss the T-duality properties of the target space effective action and discuss some of its basic half-supersymmetric solutions.
