Knowledge transfer

The Faculty of Physics runs an extensive public engagement programme, offering a varied programme of events throughout the year for all age groups and for those with a particular interest in physics. Through externally funded science communication projects, researchers share the questions, methods and findings of their work in Austria and beyond. Furthermore, the Faculty maintains close ties with its alumni, linking their experience with current opportunities for innovation, and stays in touch through events and a newsletter. The Faculty attaches great importance to the transfer of technologies and ideas to society, which is achieved through innovation projects.
