What roles are physicists having in the AI boom?

Artificial intelligence (AI) has become an ever-present technology. It is not only common users who are embracing it to polish their texts, generate images or transcribe voice notes. Science, industry and many other sectors are also implementing AI-based solutions in their workflows. 

This technology is being developed and championed not only by computer scientists and engineers. Many physicists are also finding themselves in various roles as they ride the AI wave. 

The Erwin Schrödinger Institute, the Vienna Doctoral School in Physics and Physik Alumni are excited to present an evening event featuring a panel discussion with some of our alumni who work with and around AI. This will be followed by a buffet and networking opportunity, giving our students the chance to gain first-hand insights into this field.
