Arrival at the Airport
The CAT (City Airport Train) or the train line S7 will take you directly into the city of Vienna (Landstraße/Wien-Mitte train station).
From Landstraße take the underground line U4 (direction "Heiligenstadt") to Schottenring and change onto the line U2 (direction "Karlsplatz").
Get off at Schottentor. From there take a tram (lines 37, 38, 40, 41 or 42) to Spitalgasse (2 stops). Walk along Währinger Straße (back in the direction from which the tram has come.) The entrance to the Faculty is at Strudlhofgasse 4, on the right-hand side of the street.
By taxi: There is a taxi stand directly in front of the arrival hall of the airport. It takes you about 30 minutes to get to the Faculty of Physics.
Arrival at Westbahnhof train station
From Westbahnhof take the tram number 5 (direction "Praterstern") and get off at Spitalgasse. Walk along Währinger Straße and take the first street to the left (Strudlhofgasse). The entrance to the Faculty is at Strudlhofgasse 4.
By taxi: A taxi ride from Westbahnhof takes about 10 minutes.
