Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship awarded to Sebastian Knauer

11.03.2021

As a 10 top-ranked MSCA Fellow in the University, he will have 3 years to work on hybrid opto-magnonic quantum systems in the Nanomagnetism and Magnonics group.

The fellowship "On-chip quantum MagNonIcs" (OMNI) will allow Dr Knauer to study and develop integrated quantum magnonic circuits and lay the foundations towards opto-magnonic hybrid quantum systems.

Andrii Chumak, who will supervise the project, commented that this fellowship is a success for Sebastian and opens the door to advances in quantum magnonics.

Thanks to Sebastian's outstanding scoring in the research proposal, he will receive an additional third year of funding for the 10 top-ranked MSCA Fellowships at the University of Vienna, made available by the University.
