Vortrag im Rahmen des University of Vienna Physics Colloquiums
The formulation of quantum mechanics 100 years ago marked a drastic paradigm change of our view on fundamental physics. It also marked the starting point of an enormous development, in particular in our understanding of the fundamental building blocks of nature and their interactions. In this colloquium I will sketch this development from the point of view of a particle physicist and try to give an account on the current status in our understanding of fundamental interactions.
A light lunch buffet will be offered before the lecture at around 13:00.
