Arts & Science: From the Cosmos to the Nanoworld

Donnerstag, 23. Mai 2019 19:00 - 22:00

Ort: Alte Kapelle am Campus, Spitalgasse 2-4 / Hof 2.8

Combining music, interactive visuals, and modern dance, physicists will take the audience on a journey from the Cosmos to the Nanoworld.

Physics is a science that describes our universe from the largest clusters of galaxies down to the smallest subatomic particles, spanning billions of years of cosmic history as well as nanoscale processes far faster than a blink of an eye. Whether we focus on the unimaginably large or the imperceivably small, physics allows us to tell true stories of the processes that govern our reality.

This evening of "Arts & Science" is hosted by nanoscience researchers Toma Susi and Katharina Holzweber from the Faculty of Physics whose hobbies intersect with the worlds of art. Combining music, interactive visuals, and modern dance, the audience will be taken on a journey from the Cosmos to the Nanoworld.

The evening will start with drinks and snacks at 7 pm, with performances starting at 8 pm.
