16:15 Uhr: Vortrag “Quantum Information and Quantum Many-Body Systems: Mathematics, Physics, Computation”

Quantum many-body systems hold a wide range of challenges, both in their mathematical description and modelling and in theanalytical and numerical understanding of their rich physicalphenomena. At the same time, quantum many-body systems alsoconstitute a fruitful use case for quantum computers andsimulators. Those phenomena are all driven by the presence ofcomplex quantum correlations, called entanglement, whose studyis central to the field of quantum information. In my talk, I will givean overview over the interdisciplinary field between quantuminformation and quantum many-body physics which aims tounderstand quantum many-body systems from an entanglementbasedperspective, and highlight some of the key questions andresults arising both in mathematics, physics, and quantumcomputation.
