In this three-year project, the sedimentation of colloids – that is, the settling of microscopic particles in a liquid under the influence of gravity – will be investigated experimentally. It serves as ground-based preparation and scientific support for the ESA-selected ISS experiment 'Sedimenting Colloids', which is scheduled to launch in 2027.
