The factorization of differential cross sections for Drell‐Yan, semi‐inclusive DIS has been subject to strong developments in recent years. Several matrix elements are now computed at higher orders in perturbation theory, lattice calculations are starting and analyses of data including LHC are performed. Several other aspects need a deeper study like the use of jets, and the polarized cross sections. I will review all these aspects, pointing to future developments in theory and experiments.
